Polka Dots; SS18 must have

Hola Fashionistas!

How are you today?? I’ve missed you guys. How has your summer holidays been going so far? Here in Cyprus, the weather is extremely hot; you can not bare with it. The good thing about it; we live on an island so thankfully we’ve got nice beaches to visit, enjoy ourselves and get tanned.

Have you ever visited Cyprus? If not, then you should! And if you’re ever coming just contact me and I’ll tell you which places to visit here on our beautiful small island.

So today! Our subject; Polka Dots 🙂 that is a happy face yes, because I absolutely love Polka Dots. Even though they are in and out of trend, it’s a timeless print that reminds us of the good old times, i.e Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman.

Polka Dots provide a feminine vibe to our looks and depending on how you style up your looks you can make them look vintage, romantic, sporty, girly, rock; you are building your outfits, always keep that in mind.

What I love this season is the fact that polka dots come in variation meaning that you do not only have the stereotypical black and white combination. You actually now have a variation in colours, for example brown and white or green and white or purple and white, etc.

Today I will share with you three different outfits, in polka dots.

Outfit #1

I’m wearing a black & white dress from Apart, which is one of my favourite SS18 dresses. It has so much movement, it feels so light and I really like the fact that it’s a more bohemian shape. That combined with the polka dots make this dress a not so ordinary polka dot dress. The frills add femininity to the whole look. I’ve teamed my dress with a Cavalli Class mini bag in pink to create a colour contrast and my Gucciblack sandals.

Outfit #2

Here I’m wearing a maxi polka dot shirt dress in white and black by Taifun. I just love the fact that this shirt can be worn in so many different ways; with jeans, shorts, on top of a dress, on top of a swimsuit or just as a dress. It is so cool and laid-back, and the fabric is so light. I’ve teamed it with a Cavalli Class belt to define my waist and I wore my red cat eye sunglasses from Optical Art for another colour contrast. I wanted to keep the outfit cool and summery so I just wore my gold Just Cavalli flip flops but I could easily wear a pair of snickers or even high heels.

Outfit #3

This is another favourite dress! I just love it!! A polka dot silky assymetric dress by Forever Unique and I love everything about it; the neckline, the belt, the assymetries, the frills, the fact that it hugs so soft and gently the body or even the fact that it can be worn at many different places. Wear it with snickers or flip flops or slydes for a day outfit or wear it with your high heels for a night out look. I’ve teamed it with my favourite Cavalli Class white mini handbag and my Public Desire perspex sandals with bronze soles. I’m also wearing my Moschino cateye sunglasses and honestly I’m feeling like Julia Roberts 😉
