Tweed is fun

Hello Fashionistas 🙂

How are you all? Last day of October, and we are ready to welcome last month of Autumn; and of course my birthday month! I’m so excited because we can finally start wearing slightly heavier clothes so we are able to finally start enjoying our Fall/Winter purchases. What has been your best purchase for this season so far? I am so curious to find out, so comment below and let me know!!

One trend that is so popular this season is tweed; one of Chanel’s biggest loves. I can definitely say that this is the reason that this trend is so chic and classic, don’t you agree? I mean it reminds us of those old good times where women would wear their tweed Chanel taylors with their pearl necklaces and earrings. I personally, love it!

This season we can enjoy this trend in many forms and shapes as there are multiple tweed mini dresses out there in many different shapes. Another popular version of tweed are the mini skirts that we have seen being worn by many fashion bloggers matched with oversized knits and skirts as well as velvet blazers teamed with ankle boots.

Even though I love mini dresses and skirts in tweed, this time I decided to go with something different. A taylor suit from Cubic actually changed my mind and decided that a tweed taylor suit can be the best choice for this season! The reason? You can wear it as a set from day till night by simply changing a top and a pair of shoes; jumper and ankle boots for day time and a silk blouse and stilettos for a night out. Apart from this, you can use these two pieces to create various and different outfits meaning that I will easily match the jacket with a dress, a pair of jeans, a total black look with either a midi or mini skirt or a pair of cigarette or flared trousers. On the other hand, the skirt can be combined with a white shirt or a plain black top and a biker leather for a rockier version or even a long-line blazer and a pair of sneakers for a more androgynous look. Quite cool right?

What I also love with this set, are the coloured details that make this outfit more playful and of course more interesting as well as the fringes at the bottom of the skirt. The fur on the collar of the jacket gives a touch of luxury and transforms the jacket from a simple tweed jacket to a statement piece.

I completed my look with a Silvian Heach jumper with a cold shoulder and frills on the sleeves, a purple velvet Silvian Heach bag (another big statement for FW17), and a pair of glittery stilettos by Just Cavalli. For a day time look, I would simply change my shoes to a pair of ankle boots or white sneakers.

How would you wear tweed? I want to know 🙂

P.S. Outfit from SHE Boutique.

Peace & Love,

G.
