#65: A day off

Hello Fashionistas 🙂

Another new week is about to begin, with positive thoughts and vibes! I hope you have an awesome week my stylish friends.

This weekend was finally a weekend of relaxation, as me and my boyfriend finally managed to go for a road trip to Paphos; one of the main cities in Cyprus and currently the European Capital of 2017.

We packed a few things, and headed off to Paphos to visit some good friends and enjoy some time off work, responsibilities and recharge our batteries for the next few weeks that are about to come – they are going to be really stressful!

The weather in Cyprus is very tricky at the moment as we’ve got high temperatures during the day but very low ones during night time. This makes it difficult to decide how to dress up when going out. You can even feel the temperature difference while standing below the sun and suddenly moving towards the shadow.

Therefore, layering is the best way to prepare yourself for the awkward themperature changes.

Shirts are so popular this season, plain white shirts but also different styles and colours – it is going to be a huge trend during both Spring and Summer, with jeans, as shirt-dresses, with shorts, skirts, wrap dresses and many many more. I love wearing shirts and the current season fills me with excitement as we will have the oppotunity to experiment with various different styles and shapes. Shirts with cold shoulders, oversized shirts, shirts with embelishments and appliques, assymetric shirts, colarless shirts, shirts with frills, with tulle, with weird necks, all kinds of shirts.

One of my favourite trends on shirts this season are the striped ones. You will see that a very popular combination will be the blue-white striped shirt, however there are so many different colour combinations that can make a striped shirt pop. One of my latest purchases is a striped Rinascimento shirt in black & white. What I love about this shirt are the sequined pockets that can change from black sequins to white and back. I also love the fact that while everyone is looking to invest on a blue-white striped shirt, this one makes the difference. While being in trend, I also brought my own personal style to the look as black & white is my favourite colour combination.

I completed the look with a pair of black ripped jeans, a leather bomber for layering as I have already mentioned and my Just Cavalli silver sneakers (I wore pink socks just to break a bit the black & white combination) 🙂 My outfit was finally perfect when I added my favourite SS17 handbag; my gorgeous, stunning little black laser-cut box by Cavalli Class. This bag fits everything and has become my new favourite accessory.

For a day off, nothing more was required. A laid-back, chilled look perfect to spend the day in Paphos with the best boyfriend ever!

P.S. Don’t forget to layer up girls!

Peace & Love,

G.
