#60: Four ways to wear a print coat

Hello Fashionistas 🙂

It’s Monday today so I am wishing you all a great week ❤ Back to routine, and of course it’s Valentines Day tomorrow, so what are your plans?

Today, I will share with you how a print coat can be worn in four different ways and styles. A coat is a very important element when it comes to completing a look. Not only during Winter but also during Autumn, Spring and even Summer too! We therefore all want to be able to wear our coats during any time of the day and occasion. Personally, I love coats and love completing my looks with a nice statement coat.

As the weather is slowly changing now, I chose a light Taifun print coat in shades of grey, white and pale green that will be worn in Cyprus, definitely until April and maybe even May.

The Sporty Style

I dressed the coat down by creating a sporty style underneath. I managed to do so by wearing my Silvian Heach ripped grey skinny jeans, a black polo-neck and a cosy oversized jumper again in grey. I chose to wear my comfortable Adidas Superstars in a stone colour and held my Tricklanes handmade bag in grey ribbon and white pony. A pair of round Miu Miu sunglasses in grey and gold was all the outfit needed.

The Smart Casual look

For a more Smart Casual Look I wore an oversized white shirt from Melina (I love white shirts and will be very popular this Spring), a grey Silvian Heach jeans with white dyes, my Colors of California grey booties with fringes and held the same Tricklanes handbag. I emphasized on the light green of the coat by wearing my Dolce & Gabbana round sunglasses in green and gold.

The Flared, Laid-back Look

White and very light greyish jeans (flared, straight, or skinny), will be everywhere this season. I therefore created a more laid-back look, which can be worn from day to night. I achieved this by wearing a Versace Jeans very light grey pair of flared jeans, a Taifun green blouse, my Just Cavalli black stilettos, held a mini Versace Jeans handbag and wore my Fendi sunnies in gold and mint. Here, I have to say that this season you should all aim in investing on a mini handbag with multiple straps! It will definitely come in handy and they are so cute!

The Smart Look

An LBD (Little Black Dress) and a pair of black stilettos are all you need actually. I wore a Silvian Heach mini LBD, my Just Cavalli black stilettos, the same mini Versace Jeans bag and tied my hair to a low ponytail. To make the look more smart and chic, I threw over the coat a print pashmina by Taifun.Sometimes, combining prints together can be a bit tricky but this pashmina belongs in to the same colour group as the coat. Apart from this, both prints are bold but very light colours therefore, they do not clash. Instead, I felt that this specific pashmina enhanced the green shades on the coat and transformed the whole look.

With one coat, I easily pulled out four different looks. However, there are more combinations that can be created. For example:

  • With a pair of light blue jeans, either skinny, flared, mommys or boyfriend jeans and a plain white t-shirt.
  • With a total black look underneath – skinny ripped jeans for the day and wide-leg pants and a chiffon blouse for night.
  • With a midi skirt either black, light or dark grey, white, mint, etc.
  • With a mini dress or skirt and a pair of knee-high boots.
  • With cigarette pants, most likely high-waisted, long or 7/8.

And there are even more. This always depends on our personal style of course and it also depends of course on the print coat you have.

Which outfit you liked the most? Comment below and give me your opinions and ideas ❤

Peace & Love,

G.
