#41: The Queen’s Closet goes to Milan Fashion Week (SS17)

Hello Fashionistas 🙂

How is everyone? Last week was extremely busy; I travelled from Cyprus to Athens, from Athens to Milan and from there back home as the SS17 buying season was closing and of course Milan Fashion Week took place and I couldn’t miss it.

Today, I will update you with all the details from my trip to Milan and the hottest trends for Spring Summer 2017, straight from the capital of Fashion.Unfortunately, we could only attend for 2 days as our programme in Cyprus is extremely pressured these days, however it was great as always.

DAY 1

Day 1 began at Just Cavalli showroom, where we viewed the renewed face of Just Cavalli as the collection made a massive twist towards youngsters. The day continued with Cavalli Class, an excellent collection where I couldn’t decide which piece was the best. The day ended with the Elisabetta Franchi show, where I had the honour to meet Dita Von Teese; yes Dita was there! The show was magnificent with obvious influences from Dita’s style and main elements; fringes and sequins of course!

DAY 2

The day started at Hotel President where we placed an order with Rene Derhy, a French company with a more bohemian look. We then walked through Duomo and at 2 p.m. we headed towards Versace Jeans showroom to view another excellent collection and an explosion of colours and prints. We then went to Genny, where I fell in love with the Spring Summer 2017 collection. We decided to give to ourselves some time off and finish work early in order to have some time to walk around Milan and enjoy some gelato, so at night we had a long walk along Via Monte Napoleone and then went to Brera for some traditional Italian food. And that was it!
